| This information is from Dr. Ramshaw's nurse. via email to me I thought that I would share
We do not have a final location yet but will hopefully be able to announce it soon. The reason we are leaving is because the Hospital Administration have made it clear they will not support our patient-centered program (although there are signs throughout the hospital that we are a patient-and-family-centered facility). We were referred to as luxuries and not necessities and Dr. Ramshaw feels very strong in maintaining this very important program and wants to move it to a facility where we can make it happen. |

I don't think all of the University hospitals are necessarily that great. Sometimes they appear to be rude when you make an appointment etc. I prefer the small stand alone clinics and some of the public hospitals. The public hospitals often times are fairly well equipped and they don't have the large bureaucracies of some of these University hospitals. I guess what I am saying, it all depends on who is running them. |

Maybe Dr. Ramshaw is has to see patients before he actually leaves. Did he say the University of Missouri was not patient friendly? I will agree with him as far as some universities are concerned. I went to a one university a couple of times and found it not to be patient friendly. |
