Can an inguinal hernia cause acid reflux, or is this a symptom of a hiatus hernia only?

Acid Reflux is not a commonly related symptom of routine inguinal hernias.

I have had acid reflux following a repair I had with mesh 2 years ago.....is it possible that some of the symptoms associated with PHPS (I still have intermittent pain) could cause this symptom, or is the reflux likely to be entirely unrelated?
