Hernia surgery & not a happy ending

Hi Suzanne,
I feel so badly for your husband and what he is enduring! What he is experiencing is definitely not the norm and at this late stage of the recovery period his symptoms are cause for concern. I would proceed with several things at once. 1.) Request a copy of his operative report from the hospital or facility where his surgery was performed. 2.) Make an appointment with a true hernia specialist as soon as possible. 3.) An appointment with a urologist might not be a bad idea either. 4.) Push for some imaging studies to be done.
Let us know the area in which you live so that we might suggest some highly qualified expert -- although I would not hesitate to travel to get the top notch intervention that he needs.
