I had a doctor evaluation for groin pain which is a little worse lately. Since there are no other symptoms, they told me the hernia is probably small. If I have surgery, would I be able to go back to work say 5 days later? I have mostly a desk job with some getting up and down from the chair to file papers, etc. I would be visiting relatives beforehand and then fly back two days later, spend one day at home resting and then on the fourth day go back to work.

At NPHI, travel back home after 1-2 days (including by air), and return to work (sedentary) within 3-4 days are common and quite well tolerated.
