Sorry to say but it sounds like the calf is dying.
More then likely the calf was "flooded" during bottle feeding and developed pnemonia.
When bottle feeding claves it is common that they flood if the hole in the nipple is too big.
ALWAYS after bottle feeding one should put the calf's head down to the ground, between your legs and pound on the calfs side. This needs to be done especially if you hear gurling sounds or if milk comes out of the nostrils.
The best medication to use is antibiotics or penicillian. |
