So, what ARE we going to do? Looking for opinions, here, really.
I'll list out the options as I see them - if anyone has anything I've overlooked, please add them to the list.
1. I could run something tabletop-y. I can run from the following systems:
-Anything WoD except Mage (don't have a current Edition for that one; have everything else, including Exalted)
-D&D (just had a thought for a really neat all-thief campaign that could be interesting)
-Star Wars
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness (and no, it is NOT like the cartoon. This is a much grittier version, more like that found in the original comics)
-BattleTech/Mechwarrior (although, I have no hex maps - a little help!)
-Shadowrun (If I can find the book, which, the way that game was going, is probably 10 Editions old)
2. We con Mike into running the LARP as tabletop. This is doable, although I wouldn't suggest trying to have all the genres interact at once - no Storyteller could really pull that off successfully.
3. We con Mike into running something completely different - I'm sure he could run anything I mentioned I could run above, so long as he has the books.
4. We beat each other with sticks and/or slightly whippy pieces of metal. I like this plan, myself - need more practice.
5. We can play in the game at the Adventurer's Guild. It's an all vampire game, but I won't hold that against them until I check it out.
6. We do nothing. This will, sadly, probably be the most popular choice - but hey, I'm a pessimistic cynic.
Okay, that's all I can think of. When I have another minute (and the paperwork in front of me), I'll collate and post the decisions made at the meeting the Sunday after the last game.
later
