To explain, since I don't think you've read the Cosmic Stereo Instructions (TM) - also known as the rules for Mage. Anyway, a VERY basic breakdown:
Akashic Brotherhood: Eastern mages with a penchant for spouting Zen koans and contemplating their navels. Really good at martial arts. They have their own art, called Do. Specialty Sphere: Mind
Celestial Chorus: Religious-types. Whether they're Christian, Muslim, or whatever else, their faith is strong, and expresses itself in their magickal works. Specialty Sphere: Prime
Cult of Ecstacy: Hedonists - they love drugs, sex, and rock-and-roll! If they don't know where the party is, they'll start one. Specialty Sphere: Time
Dreamspeakers: Shamanistic mages hailing from Native American stock. Think of them sort of like the Uktena. Specialty Sphere: Spirit
Euthanatos: Mages that deal with death and entropy. They see death as a necessary part of the cycle, and are not above sending someone to it if they feel that is a necessary action. Specialty Sphere: Entropy.
Hollow Ones: Not really a Tradition as a bunch of goth-types that can't stand organization. They're usually Orphans (people that went through their Awakening without a teacher). Specialty Sphere: None
Order of Hermes: Very organized group of mages. They are divided into Houses, each dealing with a specific quality of magic. House Tremere used to belong here. Specialty Sphere: Forces
Sons of Ether: Mad scientists, odd tinkerers, and even odder individuals make up the Sons of Ether. Doc Brown from Back to the Future is a perfect example of a Son of Ether. Specialty Sphere: Matter
Verbena: Paganistic witches, the Verbena deal with life cycles and living creatures. They are at home in the woods, and probably stand the best chance of dealing with Garou, if they keep the Garou away from their rites dealing with blood. Specialty Sphere: Life
Virtual Adepts: Creators of the digital web, these mages concern themselves with fighting the Technocracy through computers and technology. They used to be part of the Technocracy, but defected. Specialty Sphere: Correspondence
Hope that clears some things up, you organized, hedonistic, life of the party goth wannabe
Jim
