Actually, it was due to attrition. We simply didn't have the numbers to support two genres. And, it wasn't fair to either side, or to the Narrators, to continue doing so. As more people had vampire characters, we went with that for then.
However, starting in, oh, March or so, we will be (temporarily?) ending the Vampire storyline. No characters will be terminated or anything - just put on hiatus. Essentially, we're just going to push the "pause" button on that. Then we're playing Garou. And we're going to do it the right way - really get the feel down for moots and all that. Since many of the players haven't played Garou before, we're going to be holding some classes to get people up to speed - there's a LOT to understand about Garou. Fortuneately, not all of it needs to be understood perfectly at the beginning of game - young Garou are often confused about points of the Litany, the Triat, etc. And, since they're young, they're somewhat expected to mess up, so punishments aren't so bad. Those players that have played Garou before are getting a slight boost at Character Creation to act as mentors, etc. for the younger, less experienced players/characters. And, since those people are also narrators, the PC's will get Renown quicker, and catch up quicker, thus evening things out eventually. It should work nicely - at least, that's the plan. We'll see how it works out.
But, in any event - please, feel free to come to game - plenty of us have missed ya!
