Response to Is anyone with me on this?

After reading all of these replys, etc., it seems to me that either Channon or myself touched upon something that was apparently bothering us all, whether we knew it or not. While I feel overwhelmed sometimes by the sheer amount of stuff I am expected to know at a moment's notice, I know that, in time, all of this will come naturally. Maybe that last was confusing, i don't know.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that everyone has made an in-depth, well-thought-out reply to whatever they were replying to. For instance, Gary made an excellent point when mentioning that the change of scenery would have to have a reason in-game, or within the confines of the story (don't worry, man, I already had it covered!). He also made valid points about extra characters and such. They also should only happen due to in-game results. Jen's character's death would be a perfect example. Now she is forced to make a new character.

There are a lot of things I would like to see happen with this game. One of those things is a bit more elaboration on Influence use, because Influences used improperly could SEVERLY ruin the game. Instead of just saying "oh, well, I have Underworld x 4, Rachel, and I want to do [insert action here]", you would say something like, "Rachel, I want to contact Vinny to see if he can get me some submachine guns" or something to that effect. Basically, I would like to see less "out-of-character...." or game-speak, and more role-playing done during game - or out of it, for that matter. The more we can reduce the level of OOC or gamespeak, the more real the game will seem (to a certain extent, of course).

Okay, I'm getting down off the soapbox now - and I realize that this wasn't as well thought out as my originaly post, or most of the replies - but I also must agree with Steve - we just need to have fun!
