First, I must apologize to all. I never meeant for all of this to get so far out of hand. The brunt of the apology goes to Jim. I had no idea that the suggestions and observations that I sent to you on the last eve would affect you so. I meant no offense, it was just the typical "Paul is an asshole gripe". I hate the fact that everyone is at everyone else's throat, both in and out of game. I honestly feel that the game is salvagable. I am adamant that there has been entirely too much time spent on the game, not just by you Jim, but by all of us. I know for certain that no one person has placed as much time in this LARP as you, Jim, but we have all spent a great deal of time in it.
I know that we are all pissed about last night. I know that we are all dissappointed that things worked out the way that they have so far. Keep in mind kids, that it has only been so far, more is yet to come, especially since every post that I have read is an attempt to salvage the game. I know that we have all messed up at some point, none more than I have, it is a fact of life for us to be flawed. We cannot always think of the same things at the same time. It is not logical to assume that everyone knows exactly what you are doing, and when you are doing it... if it were, the game would have reverted to cut and slash long before this ... vampires ... okay, that was a casual insinuation to lighne the mood.
We are all different people, we all have different ambitions and different routes that we will travel to achieve those ends. We all love a good game ... I am a huge proponent of a great game to relieve the stress. We need to realize that the game is just a game, it has potential to rival the silly little morgantowners and eventually make them link all of their things to us as a primary sourec for info and models, but we have to stay focused that a game is only a game if the players allow it to be. Every good novel has a plot twist, every good movie has a villain or a sharp turn. It is this diversity and input that make everything interesting and worth while. We need to make it interesting for all though, not just one, or one particular group... we have to make it interesting for all. I am not saying that everyone has to get their way all of the time, I am saying that allotments can be made, but only when agrees upon by the group.
I cannot stress enough that it is only a game. I also need to stress that we need to EVERYONE cooperate to make things work out for the better. We all have to make considerations and sacrifices, I realize this now more than any.
I propose that we, follow what everyone knows to be the nature of this message, and everyone feels, that we hold a meeting to discuss these things, these ISSUS. We can all get along, we can all become into the game. It will take time, and understanding.
WE CAN WORK THROUGH THIS. I was thinking that since we all have plans to meet on Thursdays to play, thta this week, we take Rob's suggestion, and hold a LARP meeting, to discuss everything. So I am suggesting same time, different place ... there has been a suggestion of the former Encore books... now dubbed Crown books. This is what I feel, it has gotten me in trouble many times before, but the hell with it all, if it is not making someone uncomfortable to hear this, fine.... reality check, deal. If anyone wants to salvage the game, let me know, hell, lets us all know because this is petty and fucking ridiculous that we are all grown and behaving this way, WE ARE NOT POLITICIANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
