Response to Don't reset yet Jim! |
| Chris,
See my post below to see why I am pushing for a reset. In fact, go read that first.
Back? Okay, good.
If I were to follow the current plot logically, this is where I would go with it:
1. The Sabbat sees the Masquerade breach and knows something is up with the Cam. Using whatever means at their disposal, they find out what they can, and then come in and wipe the Cam, being careful that they avoid the Lupines in the process. End of Game.
2. The Technocracy, sure that there are reality deviants in the area, sets up a small team consisting of Men in Black, HITmarks, and a few agents from the New World Order. They "cleanse" the area and leave for a celebratory beer. End of Game.
3. The Black Spiral Dancers in the area, confident that all of the bad press will bring in outside interference, batten down the hatches and otherwise make themselves rather quiet. They wait until other factions attempt to wipe out the supernaturals, and then emerge from their Hive to wipe out the survivors. End of Game.
4. The Inquisition, tired of messing around, sends an emissary to the Inquisitor-General, who blesses an all-out attack on the local supernatural populations. She even sends one or two Gladius Dei. The vampires and possibly the Garou are toast, and the Changelings would probably die as collateral damage. End of Game.
5. The Camarilla sends an archon to investigate the many Masquerade breaches. The archon would more than likely get killed (since I would be playing him), and then the Inner Circle would simply have all the Cam vampires destroyed. The Lupines and Changelings would be fine. Not end of game.
6. Pentex gets even more of a hold on the area as they continue to move in (yes, they've been moving in). Pentex First Teams find out about the supernatural presence, and attempt to eradicate it. Eventually, they will succeed. End of game.
So, you see - it's really quite bleak if we follow logic integral to the working of the World of Darkness. If we don't follow said logic, we risk tearing down the framework upon which this game system rests. I refuse to do that.
