It strikes me as really odd that every time I hit with the combat shotgun I did 2 levels damage (ONE time I did 3 levels), and then when I pulled out my lil' heavy pistol, every single shot (and there were lots) did 3 lethal.
Maybe it's luck, or maybe it's fate telling me not to bring in super-powerful weapons.
