Response to Imbued

I think that partially awakened mortals in general fall under that complaint.

Of the various groups of whup-ass mortals (mages, technocracy mages, kinfolk, kinain, inquisition, fbi, indie hunters, and imbued (all i can think up just now)) my three favorite are imbued, inquisition, and technocracy, in that order.

imbued kick *ass*, especially if they start as joe the average mortal. the role-playing is limitless. i mean, here you are, walking along, minding your own business, when ALL OF THE SUDDEN:

a) some supernatural thingerbob that *isn't supposed to exist* pops up. come to terms with that, joe.

b) and wow, joe, you now have superpowers! go you! you are now also a supernatural thingerbob that isn't supposed to exist.

c) joe, you have been charged with a sacred mission from a higher power (or so it seems to you) to defend/destroy/adjucate/fix/plan/die/keep clean in the Really Big Fight against the supernatural thingerbobs that aren't supposed to exist. (except, of course, your supernatural thingerbob... you're fine, but everything else has to die.)

d) what? you didn't believe in a higher power? dude... you have either some major coping or some major internal struggle to deal with.

e) oh, yeah. wander around in the Really Big Fight, possessed of little to no clue whatsoever and no one to tell you a thing.

f) until, that is, you find out about the Really Big Bunch o' folks fighting the Really Big Fight.

The list goes on.

Inquisition are cool due to any number of reasons, most of which are fairly easy to piece together.

The technocracy kick ass for their almost tragicomedic situation.
