Response to Chris....

I could be wrong, but I don't recall it saying anywhere that Vamps don't have souls. They are cursed by God, but that, I think, is a little different.

But vampires do have feelings and emotions. Some of them very much so. Age and their situation makes them pragmatic, but many of them are fighting for a cause, many of them fall in love, the whole nine yards.

Chantal, for instance, has so many emotions going on, considering the stuff she's been through, it has a tendency to lead to derangements. Even (one might say *especially*) when she was a vampire, her feelings have always been very intense. You want feeling and emotion, don't go to the humans, with their very mere and mortal sensational capabilities. Go to someone who can feel in their little finger more than any human is capable of in their lifetime. Go to the Toreador, adoring and fervent, who are known for being swept away by their enormous, immortal, supernatural emotions.

Or the Brujah, crusader-poets with a loyalty so fierce as to be frightening. Or the Malkavians, who feel not only their own emotions but the whispering emotions of all their clanmates, and who know the constant awe and absolute frustration of having seen something entirely different than anyone else can see. Or the Lasombra, moved by darkness as by poetry. Or the Ravnos, devout followers of a mad code, torn up and ravaged by their collective father, the few survivors struggling with the impossiblity of their fates. Or the Setites or Assamites, loyal and secretive and with all eternity to prepare for the reawakening of their antidiluvians.

The list goes on.
