Does the driver work with S&T

S&T is a great swing. I hit almost every club better than any other swing theory. And, I have tried most of them.

Unforunately, I do have issues with my driver. Lately, I am manging to hit straighter drives, but I am just coming up a little shorter in distance than normal. If I try to put a little more effort into the swing, then my accuracy is off. Perhaps my difficulty with this club is due to the shape and size of the clubhead?

Every club in the bag, except the driver, is meant to hit the ball with a downward angle, pinching the ball between the ground and the club. However, the driver is built to hit the ball on the upward swing. Also, the modern driver's size has reached 460 cc.

I am thinking of replacing my driver with a good three wood off the tee. Has anyone else come to the same conclusion? I am spending way too much time practicing the driver. Perhaps I need to concede to placing the ball in the fairway, albeit a shorter drive, and focus my time on approach shots with a 6-7 iron.

Any postive feedback would be great.

Thanks
