Played a local public course from the back tees (6200 yards) and shot 76;even on the front with two birdies and four over on the back with one three putt.
I too use the slight wrist hinge for chipping;worked well for me today. I also think there are plenty of golfers in the 60's and 70's who used a wrist-based putting stroke. With the slow greens many of us face on public courses,it may still be the best way to putt!
Without some guidance (from a teacher or tapes) I would say that you will either have to live with the shorter drives or use another swing with the driver,while still using S&T for the irons.
I'm sticking to my "Tall and Straight" swing. It sure helps to eliminate those dreaded hooks.
