S&T teaches straightening the trail and lead legs in the swing;I'm focusing on straightening the lead leg at impact;to me this is one of the keys to improved distance. I would say my grip is slightly on the strong side;I can use a very strong grip if I swing more upright. I pay no attention to hip bump, hands in the slot, but do try to hold the lag into impact.
Played Saturday on a course I'd never played;it's a short course with nice greens, but the fairways were burnt out from lack of rain. The front side was 3100 yards and I shot one over. The temperature got to 91 and the winds were blowing strongly on the back nine;I lost a ball (someone probably took it) when I pulled one into the next fairway. I dropped a ball and birdied the hole, but couldn't really could that score;after that I basically gave up keeping score.
