Power in the downswing

In the downswing, it has been said that the wing speed is generated from having your tailbone releasing of your lead toe, or shifting more of your weight to the lead side by the "Step on the pop can" method with your lead foot. This will generate force with your hips. However, after watching Baddeley videos, it seems like he is adding more power to his swing other than just his hips.

My question is... What other source of power can you use beside the hips? Can you use your front shoulder or will that throw off your swing?

note:
Last year, I had some severe issues of my trail side creeping into swing. This caused low left hooks. This year, I am going to work on just using my front shoulder for most of my power in the downswing.

Thanks for the replys

JK
