Just as you countersteer using the subconscious mind you can also make subconscious moves during a golf swing.

The 'over the top' thrust is a subconscious hitting action that just seems to 'happen' with many amateurs. Most try (unsuccessfully) to fix this swing flaw through position training and completely neglect the origin of the problem. The mind.

By changing the 'TASK' can instantly render a swing change. By changing the 'picture' in your mind can allow your subconscious to perform in a totally different way.

Lessons that are based on changing the physical positions of the body do nothing to change the concept of the swing inside the head where the flaw really lies.

The bottom line is that if you don't change the source of the problem then you will never be able to change your swing. Just by changing your grip or putting your arms in a different position does NOT change what the subconscious mind sees as the 'Task'.

      Change the Task...change the swing.
