Overall I thought this through and have to go above a neutral because I'd still do business with them again and even encourage others to do so. But I'd have to give a warning of what to expect before doing so.
Communication could definitely be improved but overall they are reliable and reasonable. I was made aware of this fact by a fellow Canadian airgunner before placing my order and just as he informed me the order went through fine. One has to basically trust the experience of others before submitting the order because DAK is hard to get communications through to. The phone voice mail is perpetually full and emails get returned - well ... when they get returned. Sometimes immediately ... sometimes a week or more later. Derek, (the owner?) is always polite and succinct when returning emails. His support staff? I've yet to hear from them/her so Derek is the one you want to stay in touch with.
I get the impression DAK is a side business for the owner and they are probably doing a little more business than expected ... or at least more than a hobby business can handle efficiently. My guess is it's not doing quite enough to warrant giving up any day job yet, but it's too lucrative to simply close the doors on and we just need to live with the consequences and inconveniences. On the plus side, they price their product accordingly and they are one of the few who'll ship to the USA.
