Brian, I learned by accident that picking dry ones are just as good fresh ones, because i had some of both in my yard last year (only 3 this year :( ) Being so excited, I picked them all and soaked them to clean them out and lo and behold the dry ones became just as plump and tasty as the rest. my advice-- since we only get so many-- is to pick em all!!! :) Julie |
