I found one morel Feb 23,2008 as I was walking my dog in the San Clemente Canyon. I grew up in Iowa and remember hunting for mushrooms with my father. I could not believe my eyes when I found it.
I am originally from CA, lived in Illinois for awhile. During that time I became a morel nut...Love them! Love hunting for them! Love eating them! Was the location you found one in the burn area?
