We have been finding them down in Calhoun County , for the past couple weeks, we get down there each weekend, Hope it warms up for this upcoming weekend, should be the best so far. Anyone finding them in the Northern half of the state ? Dupage, Kane, DeKalb, or Lee Counties ? Been to cool up here so far, season just being delayed, I hope.

Found 15 pounds yesterday, about 35 miles southwest of Chicago , The rain today should realy get them popping, I'm thinking Tuesday will be a good day looking at the forecast, sure beats driving 4 hours to find them. Happy Hunting

Went out yesterday after work , same area as Saturday, we only found maybe 2 pounds if that, still not finding any on the sides of the hills, all down in the bottoms near creeks, I think the cold weather stopped more from popping yesterday, Will get back out Friday and Saturday, might be just about over for us near Chicago, very short season, or is it that they are going to really get going in the next few days ? What does everyone think ?
