Could some one out ther hook a sister up with some info as to when and where could I find some morels in colorado? I live near the flat tops, closer to aspen and vail area. I could not thank you more, nor could my belly if I find um!

I would check creek bottoms under cottonwoods for yellows right now. If you can find a burned creek bottom, you are money. In a few weeks, you can start looking for blacks at mid-altitude under mixed aspen/lodgepole stands, once again burn areas are best.

yellows!

picked 11 pounds of yellow and grey morels today on the front range, they are popping under narrow leaf cottonwoods, lower elevation creek and lake areas. We will continue to hunt for the next ten days or so before heading to higher elevation.

picked over 20 lbs of yellows with a few greys mixed in the last two days, though they are coming to an end on the front range, almost time to hit middle elevations, aspens/mixed aspen forests. We're getting 35$/lb. from restaurants in a heartbeat, they are selling themselves...
