Hi. I'm from La Farge WI and I'm also a mushroom hunter. did you see any kinds of trees on the bluff? I live around a few bluffs and was wondering what I should look for.
We found them in a few areas: where there are dead elms and then the south/southwest area of woods in the bluffs. Be sure to look around the leaves - they like to hide. Once we saw one then looked in a zig-zag design up and down.
