Hello all

I am from Oklahoma and my dad and I go morel hunting on river bottoms in early april. I have a question and after searching I have found no answer. Do morels grow in or around Jaffrey NewHampshire.

I am from OK too, and have a new sauce cookbook that has many recipes calling for morels. I didn't even know what a morel was until I googled it. I love nature hikes and drag my family out as much as possible and could possibly go mushroom hunting this spring if I knew where to go. You mentioned river bottoms in OK as hunting grounds. As OK has many many rivers, what rivers are you talking about? Thanks

I was raised in New England but spent many years in the midwest (Wisconsin). While there, I was exposed to Morel's, both the joy of finding them and eating them.

Since returning to New England, I've not seen any. I, too, have been looking but have not found them in the woods. If you do find any, please let me know. This is the time of the year they should start "popping".
