how fast do morels grow

I was curious as to how fast they grow. Do they actually "pop"? Should you wait a few days until they grow larger/ Any help apreciated.

If your area you are hunting is not over hunted such as public land, then I would leave the smaller ones for about 4 to 5 days and then come back and harvest them. Generally they will reach there mature size in 4 to 5 days but most important to how fast they grow is the weather, if you get a couple of descent rains in those 4 to 5 days and daytime temps in the 70's and night temps in the upper 40's or higher they would grow a little faster and vise versa.
