Went out today and nothing yet. Had rain today and it's supposed to be in the 70's all next week so I'm sure they will be a poppin by then.I'm going again on Tuesday and will keep everyone posted.I cant wait!!!!!

I went out Friday shed hunting and was keeping a watchful eye out for shrooms, but i think it is a little early yet. This rain today and the temps warming...it shouldnt be too long now! I talked to a friend of mine in N. Mo. and he said they are finding some sparatic ones around his place (just south of Maravia).

All coming together. Looks like southern IA any day. I'll be heading to central mo tomorrow. If you drive you can double the length of your "season". spring moves about 100 miles per week is generally right. mivame...

Polk County Iowa

Found 27 grey's in the ditch between the road and the woods in Polk County just north of Des Moines on Thursday, April 23.

I went out last night and found a mixture of greys and yellows. About 2 lbs worth. That would have been in central washington co. and northern jefferson co. good hunting!
