Anyone else heading out this weekend? Hubby and I are new to Michigan and went hunting late April last year and found nothing. Any hints on hot spots in South East MI?
I used to live in SE MI. Try stoney creek metropark. Along the tree line in one of the picnic areas, don't recall which one, there is a row of apple trees where I used to find many in the tall grass in front of and just behind the trees. Found them every year but it may still be a little early. Happy hunting!
I have been wondering if you went to the park and found any.I now live in central NY state and have enjoyed over five pounds found in my new hunting grounds. Just wanted to know if my old hunting grounds were useful.
