Grand Rapids Michigan

So we went all over the woods by Richmond Park and around the cemetary for the last 2 days. Nothing...not a single mushroom. Then tonight I was playing with my son in the driveway and wouldn't you know it there were 2 morels right next to my house in my nice little 1950's suburban neighborhood. Crazy.

Crazy indeed! I just hope this doesn't stop you from roaming the area cemetaries. There is nothing better than watching a family romping and laughing while folks cry over the grave of a loved one. Be sure to bring a picnic basket and a volley ball set!

we don't actually go on the cemetary property...just the woods by the cemetary. I don't think I could eat a mushroom that grew over someones grave. That is just too creepy.
