New to shrooming, first finds.. Michigan

Just decided to start trying to find some morels this year after having tasted them for the first time last year. I heard of lots of people finding them this year so figured I'd give it a shot. Didn't really know too much about where to look, so I did a little looking online(mainly just to identify morels from the fakes). Went out today in Portland MI. Started out looking where it seemed logical, in the moister areas by the creek and river on the property, didn't find any. After dinner I went out and changed plans, went for a wooded hillside. Scored 13 greys in about an hour. Hows this for a first timer going solo?
