Went out on friday with a buddy and found two bag fulls. It was a good day. The mushrooms had been up for a while very few fresh. Is anyone finding fresh mushrooms or is the season over?
Find heavily shaded areas...we've pulled several pounds in the past few days right around Des Moines... Including about a pound about 2 hours ago. They're going on top of a filet in about 30 minutes sauteed with shallots, butter, sherry and a titch of cream... God is a good man for giving us the morels...
Yes, God is indeed a good man for giving us morels, but give full credit where full credit is due! He also gave us beer and strippers. I'm working on a recipe to combine all three.
