Monster morels in Ontario

It was a total surprise. We were in the woods collecting wildharvest goodies for a client when we came across three HUGE morels.
We had assumed the season was ended a couple of weeks ago yet there they were, spored out and drying where they stood.
Total weight? Fourteen and a half ounces...three morels, almost dry...almost a pound.
Another spot to add to our hunt next year.

And no dead elms in the vicinity, mainly beech and maple, a few Mayapples but mainly False Solomons Seal and Trilliums....and some Pepper Root.

Is this wacky weather extending your season too?
