So you found a morel mushroom near mansfield on 28 Mar 2010, I'm figuring another two to three weeks for me to go out and even bother looking but I know this warm and wet weather is going to make them pop. I'm down near Marietta Ohio and the earlist I have ever found morels is the second week of april, and that was only a few of the peckerheads then about a week later I found blacks grays and blondes. 19Apr2009 I took seventeen days of vacation this year from 19apr to 5 May just to hunt mushrooms I am really hoping that they hold off until then. What type or variety did you find on the 28th ? Thanks
Anyone notice a difference between the years? Me I found my first morel last year april 13 this year april 6 in the same spot. the season seems to be coming a little sooner. I have already found 2 grey. Gl all
yep, i just found this sight and now the fever has hit me, i am off tomorrow march 31, i will be headed to Tar Hollow State Park, that is where i've had the most luck, i'm not very computer savey, but i will try to figure out how to join this site and get logged in, i'll also be packing a camera with me and hopefully learn or see if it is even possible to post some pictures if i find anything. i wish you all luck this year, maybe still early but i'm gonna give it a shot.
