It's 1981/1982... Which Seiko diver are you going to buy?

That is assuming of course that all of these would be available at your friendly neighbourhood Seiko A.D.

Or perhaps we can interest you with something in an auto with this nice, newly designed 6309 diver?

Maybe you are near a military PX and they can even offer you the "Japan" version of the 6309-7290:

One quartz with round indices and one auto with rectangular indices:

I was 11-12 when such a decision would have been made. At that time I would have gone for either the black or orange 7548. Now if I had to pick only one the 6309-729B would be my first choice by a landslide! happy.gif

What is very interesting is how similar the 7548s are to today's SKX divers!

And the SKX011K which has a different shade of orange than the SKX011J and very similar to its 7548 counterpart:
