The click ball on my 6309-7049 is missing so I tried the old trick of taking a Bic pen and putting the ball from it into the space where the click ball is supposed to go!
In the past I have never had a problem with them fitting but somehow this hole in the case is either larger then the rest or the pens I am using have smaller balls in them??
I have ruined 6 pens tonight and not a single ball works,... they just fall into the hole! I know a spring is supposed to be there to keep that from happening but in past instances I havent needed a spring! What if anything is wrong or what am I doing wrong?
BTW...... I took someones earlier advice and tried putting a spring from one of my spring bars into the hole but even the tiniest of spring bar springs was too large and wouldnt fit down into the hole! This has me perplexed!

I managed to get a spring in there but still no luck...... either the spring was too long or too short! I piece mealed the spring as the first one was too short so I added a shorter piece to make up the difference. still no luck so I said to hell with it! I tried removing the spring but was only able to get out the short spacer piece and now the longer piece is stuck!! Grrrrrrrrrrr
I imagine now that the spring will have to be drilled out!?
Another thing I am having problems with is the bezel! Of course the bezel spins freely as there is no ball or spring for resistance but I noticed (I just noticed it after I started working on the spring/ball problem) that I can literally just pull off the bezel with the VERY VERY least amount of pull. It almost wants to fall off by itself.
Is it possible that the bezel is NOT that of a 6309-704x but that of another model?
I'm so pissed off right now that I'm about to throw the damn thing away except for the fact that I paid damn good money for it.
Any ideas??

>>>>> when you are getting frustrated while you work on a watch, STOP!!!! Stop what you are doing - take a break. Leave it for later or tomorrow.

Unfortunatley, you can`t put 2 springs to make up for the lenght you are missing; the springs will "screw" into each other when under presure. You`ll need a one piece spring, the right lenght.

I can`t tell you much about the bezel problem since I never had to deal with that. Post your question in the other forum as well, see maybe there is someone who can help.

Have a close look at the bezel ring to make sure it doesn't have any cracks..

I can turn the bezel and in different spots it will almost literally fall right off with the teeniest of pull.
As I rotate the bezel in certain spots it doesnt seem like its catching enough to even hold in on!
This has me definitly puzzled!
I noticed that there is a rubber washer in the bezel itself..... is there another one thats supposed to be there too?
IF I didnt know better I would say its not the correct bezel but the seller is a very reliable person and would think he knew if it was the right one or not!?
I can honestly say I have NEVER had this kind of problem with any bezel on any watch I have owned!
Here are sellers original pics..........
