| I am sick and tired of what is happening in this message board. It looks like that this forum has been hijacked by people whose agenda is to paint a clear picture of Kibaki and his administration yet at the same time they can’t stand the man being criticised for his many failings.
The fact is that the progress being seen in Kenya is as much as you guys want to make it appear. In fact it is the Kenyan people that deserve much praise because they are the ones that work hard. If it was not for the never say die attitude of us Kenyans during the Moi days, our country would have collapsed faster than Zimbabwe has.
The fact is, it is Kibaki that has let the Kenyans down, and the promises he made after his election have turned out to be a con. Free primary education is not free; it is funded by western governments and Kenya’s tax payers. The roads in other parts of the country are a still a shamble, Kenyans live under threat from rising insecurity with poverty and corruption still rampant. The constitution he promised within a 100 days is still a dream 5 years later and what of the creation of 500,000 jobs in a year. The only people who have benefited under Kibaki are the MPs who are the highest paid in the world, the people of central province and Mount Kenya region, who occupy all the top positions in government and Kibaki’s wealthy golf buddies.
The fact is we Kenyans have been short changed and no amount of Martha Karua’s begging tours of western capitals giving meaningless interviews will change that. Kenyans deserve much better than the half baked maendeleo that we are being expected to cheer for. But then we are accustomed to praising someone for nothing, just look at how long we sang tawala Kenya tawala and nyayo philosophia while Moi drove Kenya backwards.
Lastly if all you lot think Kibaki has changed Kenya for the better what are you still doing ki chini chini in Europe and America. Pack up and go back to paradise. I have yet to hear of Jomo Kenyatta airport asking for more staff to deal with the large number of Kenya exiles returning home. So either you guys put up and go back sing Kibaki’s praise in Jamu or shut up.

Patrick, come slowly brother.Wacha kutukana watu ovyo.Rome was not built in one day.Kwa hivyo wacha kusema ati kibaki hajatimiza yale ambayo aliahidi.Wewe kama ungekuwa rais, ungewezana kweli?Sina ubaya lakini, kuongea ukweli,Kibaki amejaribu and if only people gave him a second chance,Our country will continue to do better.Otherwise, wacha hasira nyingi and God will bless u and dont forget,There is no single time on earth, gukagia na president Kenya na andu mamwagire mahitia.

though i rarely i agree with you on some issues pertinet to nation cohesiveness and development , may i admit i concur with you on this one .
but why wonder - hence all this Kibaki vocalist are like him - cliques of same shed that we call central kenya . it isn`t celebration of any meaninful progress (which may i ask ) but rather manifestation of tribal sycophancy that bedevil and jetlag us .
