I have a 1992 Polaris Trail Boss 250 4x4. The 4 wheel drive does not stay engaged, in fact it hardly engages at all. There are brown and gray wires that come off the electronic hubs and when I run 12 volts to them ( jump them with a different power source other than the electrical system on the atv) the hubs engage just fine and stay engaged.I have power to the switch, there are 2 gray wires that come out of the switch that have continuity when the switch is on. All of my lights as far as reverse, High, and 4x4 work. Any ideas of what the problem could be?

The thing that I am wondering about is the amount of voltage coming out of the switch...
You mentioned that there is power, but you may have enough power to light the lights, but not engage the hubs.
The problem could be caused by a voltage leak thru some damaged insulation, corroded or dirty contacts in the switch, or even a crack in a ballast resistor.
Your troubleshooting is on the right track, you know the hubs are not at fault, and they will work with the correct amount of power, so now you need to find the cause of the power loss.
Backtrack the wires from the hubs into the main harness, see if there is any obvious damage...
Hope this helps.
