Hey all

I just bought a 350trx . It has about 40 hrs run time on it and it needed some work. I had the gas tank relined as it was quite rusted. I also changed the plug ,oil filter, fuel filter, oil and added a new battery. I also added some sea foam to the tank as a fuel system cleaner. I was able to get it running but the only problem is that it wont idle unless im fully choked. Does anyone have any suggestions for this problem?

Sounds like there is probably some gunk in the carb, based on what you said about the gas tank.

You might be able to clean it out by removing the air filter/airbox, and spraying some carb cleaner into the carb.

If that doesn't help, you may need to remove the carb and rebuild it, after letiing the parts soak in some solvent over night.

Whenever a quad is parked for more than a couple of weeks without running, it is always best to drain the gas tank as much as possible. Then start up the quad to burn the fuel that is the float chamber and fuel line.

Any fuel left in the quad more than a month or two can began to breakdown, and cause the carb parts to not move freely.
