Perhaps the egg and mother? were stolen and the high and mighty one is still searching for them?
In pervious talks with Lord Drago he had mentioned that he was searching for his stolen egg. He mistakenly accused KAOS and even the faithful (if you can call them that) of Cremlan of the abduction (eggnapping?). Now I ask you what kind of person would steal someones Egg? Who would stoop so low as to take another beings child from them and withold that child from seeing it's father?
Perhaps I should do some more investigation and give everyone the answers to these pressing questions. It could be that everything was a set-up to try and get Ginger in even more trouble (after all he is head of KAOS). Perhaps this entire affair was a scam to unite the Lands against Cremlan and KAOS? Lets find out shall we?
