Come and enjoy the Flavors To Savor Retreat, a one day event focusing on how to incorporate a healthy relationship to food into our everyday lives.

We are happy to be offering this full day of experiences and activities for an affordable $65 per person with a discounted rate of $60 for registering before September 18th, and $15 off for groups of 4 or more. Registration includes lunch and snacks, fresh picked vegetables for you to take home and experiement with some of the take-home recipes, a relaxing Nia movement session, as well as materials and workshop registration.

Presenters
Marnie Burkman, MD, ABIHM
Marnie is an integrative psychiatrist who profoundly loves the planet and the life on it. Her life's work flows from her natural love of humanity and focuses on the continual exploration of how to guide and support each unique person's healing process. Marnie is board-certified in psychiatry and holistic medicine. She has received training in several healing modalities, including EMDR, herbs, dietary supplements, nutrition, intuitive skills fostering, and Reiki. She feels constantly inspired by and passionate about the process of healing and has helped to facilitate the healing process for people experiencing depression, anxiety, mood swings, PTSD, life transitions, stress, fatigue, and other general health issues using a holistic and caring approach. Marnie will continue to deepen her feeling and expression of Existence for the rest of her life to better serve humanity.
David Leavitt, MD ABIHM
David is a psychiatrist who is helping develop a truly integrative approach to mental health that honors a persons body, emotions, worldview, culture, and spiritual beliefs. He is board-certified in adult psychiatry and holistic medicine, and completed a two-year fellowship in integrative medicine under the direction of Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. David strives to combine the best of evidence-based treatments with nutritional supplements, lifestyle guidance, and other modalities in his treatment. He loves to help people uncover and address underlying causes of symptoms and feel deeper clarity, energy, and passion in their lives.
Wendy Warrick, A.A.S., B.S.F.A.
Wendy has been a food afficienado since childhood when she delighted in making canapes on party rye. She has studied a variety of cuisines and diets with nationally known teachers and schools including natural foods, vegetarian, macrobiotic, raw foods, gluten free, and more. Several years ago health concerns caused her to pursue the pH diet exclusively for a year as a means of restoring her body to optimum health and balance. She teaches the occasional cooking class while pursuing her full time work in interior design and feng shui.
Susan Fancy
Susan's life is dedicated to supporting people, creatures and the planet. For people working with life's changes, she offers new approaches, custom-mixed flower essences, and other tools to help transform life's obstacles into personal change and cooperation with Grace. Susan has also been involved with growing organic foods with special attention to cultivating vibrant soil for many years. She and her husband grow 29 different vegetables (over 100 varieties), 20 fruits, and also herbs. They also 'put up' foods by canning, freezing, drying, or cellaring, and are blessed with near self-sufficiency for produce.
Heather Brumwell
Heather has been inspired by her life's events to study and work within the field of holistic health for the past 20 years. For the past 2 years a main focus of that study and service has been with regards to food; developing a relationship with food, and understanding the impact of food on our bodies. She has taught cooking classes and helped coordinate catering events with food that truly supports our bodies and well being. Her passion for helping people connect with what is healing for them guides her life and service.
Darla Getschman
Darla, a Certified Nia Teacher, has been drawn to help others who wish to restore their connection to the beauty and natural flow of their unique expression and deepen their relationship with the heart of nature and the harmony of life. Darla has taught Nia Technique, a body-mind-spirit fitness practice and Aquatic Fitness, Ai Chi and ChaYoga for Arthritis and Special Populations. More information about Nia Technique is available at
