Friends of Wetzel State Park Hosting Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser and
the 11th Annual Park Clean-up in April
The Friends of Wetzel State Park are hosting two upcoming events in
April to benefit the park. First, they are hosting an all-you-can-eat
spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Saturday, April 18, and then a park
clean-up day on Saturday, April 25. Wetzel State Park is located in
Harrison Township in Macomb County.
The fundraising dinner will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Huron Pointe
Sportsmens Association, located at 35800 28 Mile Road in New Haven.
The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12, and children 5
or under are free. In addition to dinner, participants can expect lots
of fun, guest speakers and a silent auction. All proceeds go towards
park improvements, such as park benches, signage, trees and trail
The Friends of Wetzel State Park have also scheduled the 11th Annual
Park Clean-up for Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The check-in station is located at the end of 27 Mile Road, west of
Werderman Road, at the remote controlled flying field. Lunch and
refreshments will be provided and participants are asked to bring work
gloves, boots, and rain gear.

|MAYBURY State Park HIKE 11/15/08|
Well, we are going to start to move around a bit, and get some Hikes scheduled close to as many different people's homes as possible. This weekends Hike will be at Maybury State Park, near Northville. We have Carol Hainline Leading this Hike for us. Carol knows the Park extremely well. There will be a fire before and after the Hike. Come on out and check out, what is a new Park for us, in our regular Hiking schedule. It's a beautiful place and I think everyone will enjoy this very diverse Park.
