Anyone recognize any of the players here in the following photos? The possible dates on these going by uniform styles are 1962-64....I know the "old man" would be Bill Rigney, but I am stumped on any of the players...also strange to me are the hat styles on the Colts player...the Braves player on the bench is also wearing a hat with "LB" on it??? Check out the boxes of baseballs on the ground...not only were they using Reach balls, but there is also a box of DeBeer baseball too.

Great photos Dan, I love those ball boxes!
I don't think that's Bill Rigney, perhaps Jimmie Reese who helped coach the Angels on and off (Babe Ruth's former roommate!)

Well looking at this photo makes the mystery grow deeper as this certainly isn't Dean Chance who wore #31 for the Angels from 1961-66.

The Pirate player is Bob Bailey. The Angel player with the catchers mitt looks a little like Ed Kirkpatrick. The person next to Bailey seems to be looking at a program. Maybe you could scan a larger image and see what it says

I zoomed in on that program and it's not clear enough. Any ideas on why the old man is wearing #31?
