Anyone have a photo of the 1902 Pittsburgh Pirates Team with players identified that they can post for me? I purchased a pin picturing that team at the Reading, PA show over the weekend and it is very small (1 1/4" diameter) and I would like to identify all of the players. I don't have a scan of the pin as it is at PSA for grading right now.
Phil- I have a picture of the 1902 team with all players identified in my 1903 Spalding Guide. But it would be hard to scan without breaking the binding. If you could post a clear picture of the pin I might be able to identify them for you.
Oh, it's at PSA, I just read that. Well, when you get it back post or shoot me an email.

Those are tiny faces but I'll take out my guide and give it a shot.
I just put the picture from my guide right up to the pin on the screen, and it's really tough. There is too much shadow and lack of clarity, and I find myself either guessing or saying it could be one of two or three players. The pin is just too small, and since my Spalding Guide is a reprint, the photo isn't as clear as it would be from an original.

To start off with, it appears to me that captain and manager Fred Clarke is sitting in the middle row, center position. Wagner is in the top row 2nd from the right. I have a 1902 Pirates program that I will dig out that has individual player photos in it and see if I can see any other players. Chesbro should be in there also.
Ginger Beaumont is in the front row, second from the right. I will look for some more. I have a photo from that team w/ the players' id's but it's not with me.
I'm finding it hard to see the faces on my screen but I'd bet it's Phillippe on the far right of the second row and Wee Tommy Leach second from the left in the front.
