Hey guys,
I know this is a longshot, but I have seen this board pull off miracles before, but any idea on who this signature might be? I have no leads whatsoever; it was with other sports autos but that doesn't mean much.

thanks
KJ

hmm...

"M & M's Candy"

I think that's what it says. Perhaps it was a note tag placed on a gift of M&M's. Not as cool as a baseball autograph, but that's my guess.

LOL, That could be it; it was with a bunch of autographs in a lot so someone thought it was an auto, but you may be right

The number in the corner may indicate rookie year or date of death as autograph collectors often put those types of years on an autograph

Autograph

I thought so too, but then after flipping it over, the back side, is number 68. Seems to be someone hand numbered the pages.

Who is Manny Cassidy?

thanks
KJ

Thanks for the tip on Camby, but after a ebay search for his sigs, they are very different. But it could have been him.

wild guess here...

Ok, so previously I suggested it might have been a hand-written gift tag on "M & M's Candy" that was being given to "Joey". However, if it was in a personal autograph book at one time (as the page numbering and spine edge might indicate), then perhaps a child "met" a person in an M&M costume at a a fair/carnival/ballgame and asked for his autograph.

What looks like an ampersand is actually an 'A.' I'm also fairly certain that the letter before what y'all are calling a 'C' is a 'B.'
It's not:

AB Chandler
Tom Landry
Butch Cassidy

A puzzle!

Keith

What other autographs are in the book? That should give some idea of the time frame of the signing.

(Darn. Butch Cassidy was going to be my guess )

Mama Cass' signature is likely worth something.

Autograph

Max,
I did not get this in an autograph book. It was in a lot of various autographs, and this slip was loose. It does look like it was part of an autograph book at some point, but I unforunately don't know the era of it. When looking at it, I thought the paper had some age to it though.
Thanks for all the ideas guys. I always find it fun and equally frustrating to try to figure out signatures.

Based off of how he wrote 'Joey' - the last 3 letters are 'edy'
