i am looking for 1909 pittsburgh pirate autographs, players such as tommy leach, howie camnitz, nick maddox, deacon phillippe, george gibson, lefty leifeld, dots miller, sam leever. can anyone point me in the right direction?
Best bet is to keep trying eBay or contact Jim Stinson at www.stinsonsports.com. He has helped me in the past on locating rather difficult turn of the century figures.
I'd start with contacting Jim Stinson, followed by calls to Bill Corcoran (Tampa, FL), then Kevin Keating at Quality Autographs and Memorabilia of Virgina (www.qualityautographs.com).
I think you'll find the respective pricing structure increases as you move from Stinson, to Corcoran, to Keating. But as far as reputable, vintage baseball autograph dealers go, they are among the tops (in my opinion). I've been doing business with all three over the years.
