The pipe looks to be authentic. It seems to have the Halper Auction documentation, and the Sotheby's tag that accompanied all lots won from that event.
As for the T206 Card... who knows? There is a pathetic scan, and no real information given about the card. The other stuff being thrown in (Tuxedo Tin, ad, photo), is of relatively little vale.
A neat pipe for the Cobb collector, but probably not worth whatever the original person paid to Sotheby's.
The original Halper/Sotheby's Lot contained quite a few of Cobb's personal effects... walking canes, belt buckle, poker chips, pen knife, and actually 3 different pipes (of which this is apparently one).
Interestingly, this is one of the lots not pictured in the Halper Catalogue. So, I suppose someone could switch pipes, and few people (if any) would ever know. A lot of trust is necessary with a lot like this, but it does have good documentation and the initialed "TRC" pouch.
That group lot in Halper sold for $13,800, so its rather hard to determine the value of this smaller grouping. I guess the free-market will dictate what it's worth.
