I'm a Yankee signature from 1955, but who am I?

I listed this 1955 Yankee team signed ball on the BST. However, there is one signature which is illegible. I am hoping someone on the board may know who it is. I had thought it could be Martin's and have included an early Martin signature for comparison.

Any ideas?
