Hall of Fame Walter Johnson Auto Ball question

Hey guys,

This past Memorial Day weekend a buddy and I finally made a long planned trip to Cooperstown and Yankee Stadium.

The Hall of Fame was everything I was hoping for, but hoping one of you guys can shed some light on a baseball in the Hall.

In one exhibit they had a Walter Johnson autographed ball with an amazingly crude signature. The crowd was pretty thick and I was never able to determine the provenance behind it. I don't collect autos, but the handful of Johnson's sigs I have seen on this forum were always scripted very nicely. Just wondered if anyone has seen the ball I mean and wonder why the sig is almost crudely printed on it.

Sorry this isn't much to go on!

Shawn
