I had to enhance this picture a little cause it is under glass and the scan did not show up well, the actual color is more blue.
It is an invitation to Opening Day at the Polo Grounds in 1905. Picture of the clubhouse, crowd scene from prior season, Giants roster (Matty, McGinnity,Bresnahan, etc) and date and invite to home opener.
It is on my wall with a postcard picture of John McGraw and a NY Giants postcard.
Guy walked into a show one day, about 15 years ago with this item. It was never going to get past my table .
I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.

Here is a 1938 Homestead Grays Scorecard with team picture including Buck Leonard (far left). The other side has a wrap-around photo which pictures Raymond Brown & Josh Gibson.

Picking a favorite is difficult (basically impossible) for me.
So, once again, I'll stretch the rules, and post two.
(Both of which have been posted before.)
This is most probably the only surviving program from Jack Chesbro's "wild pitch" game, 10 October 1904:
This is Marty McHale's Yankee cap, and a photo of him wearing it in the Polo Grounds in 1913:

For me its probably this plaster wall-plaque featuring Ruth, Gehrig, and McCarthy. It was made in honor of the 1932 World Series victory (thanks again to Mike H. for finding this particular piece in an old auction catalog and kindly sending me a scan providing some great information on its creation).

Nice items and thanks for sharing. Interesting team panoramic of the 1922 Lynch Baseball "Bulldogs". The photo features Vasco Barton who is the person on the far left in his Ceveland uniform. Team was from Kentucky and played other coal mining clubs. Barton managed and played for the club and was drafted by Cleveland. He went to the majors without any farm club experience.

Mike, I got this with some other items from Ralph Winegarner's estate. He didn't play for the Tigers so I don't know what the connection was. It's not for sale but will give you first shot should it ever become available.
I did see another one on ebay a few years back that didn't sell. So there are more out there somewhere.

The Tigers piece is rare. I used to have one from the same series, but a Pirates... a very cool figural. I sold it for $175, and have regretted it ever since. That was over 10 years ago, and I have never seen another one since then.

Mark, I've never seen the Pirates before either. I'm guessing it's from the 30's-40's era but leaning more towards the 30's. Would love to see that Pirates one.

I agree... late '30s / early '40s. If I knew the Pirate was that rare, I would not have sold it (or would have at least snapped off a photo first). As I recall, the Pirate atop the ashtray was magnificant and unique... a mean snarling fellow. I have never seen another Pirate Mascot portrayed in that manner.
BTW... your Tiger is very cool as well!

Thanks Mark. I remember thinking about buying the other one as it was listed for around $300. I couldn't justify having two at that price though and I don't believe it got a bid either. I wonder if others were made?

Wow! Matt, that thing is sweet...
Here is a small article I found in reference to the Memphis Ball Club. I thought it was interesting and thought I would share. It is from the Sporting Life dated June 6, 1908. Read below the article titled: "Pitcher to See Curves Thrown to Gain Experience". Bill Chappelle???

Clint,
It must be some sort of team supplement. It's actually in a folder that protected it over the years. I like it because of the turtle design.
